Medical Assistant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide support to medical staff by assisting with clinical and administrative tasks, ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist physicians during examinations and procedures

• Measure and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and weight

• Prepare and administer medications as directed by a physician

• Schedule patient appointments and manage medical records

• Collect and prepare laboratory specimens

• Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for use

• Communicate effectively with patients regarding procedures and follow-ups

Required Qualifications:

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent preferred

• High school diploma or equivalent; postsecondary medical assistant program a plus

• Previous experience in a healthcare setting is an advantage

• Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical practices

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Basic computer literacy and familiarity with electronic health records (EHR)
